Trip Overview

Trekking along this unbeaten trail is a new experience for the travelers exploring the beautiful mountains with the culture of local Tamang people. In this area you will receive a very warm hospitality from the local people, even though you can get experience of the costumes, architecture of their local houses and ancient monasteries.

During the trek, you enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung -7245M. Langtang Kerung, Chimse Danda ridge crossed by Ganjala Pass -5122M. Dorje Lakpa – 6989 M. Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, Paldor Peak and Sanjen Himal ranges

The inhabitants of this area are believed to be the offspring of Tibetans from the Kerung who intermingled with Tamang of the Helambu area. Tamang communities are generally found on the higher elevations with the peasants engaging in shifting cultivation and extraction of forest products. There are mainly sheep and yak herder but grows some grains and vegetables.

Program Itineary

Tour days

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu

Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)

Day 02: City tour

Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.

Trek days

Day 3:Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Approximately 7-8 hours driving from Kathmandu Syaprubenshi can be reached, which is situated in bank of Trishuli river where we spend our first night. This day we can see the panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna , Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, as well as some peaks of Langtang area.

Day 4: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238 m)

We start our walking through the local trail which goes upwards and then step forward a head without up and down . Form the way we have chance to see the Ganesh himal, Shisha Pangma, Langtang Lirung and some others. After walking of 4-5 hours through the jungle and the villages, we reach to Syaprubesi. Road is also available there.

Day 5: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m)

We start after our walk breakfast, the trail goes all the way gradual downwards up to small river and the following the slightly sloping upward we can get to Tatopani where we can take natural bath on hot spring. This is known as Tamang heritage trail.

Day 6:Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (3164 m)

This day we step forward to Thuman,which is a big Tamang village and good place to observe the culture. We reach Nagthali view point after walking upwards around three hours. On the way we local Tamang village and the monastery can be visited. Then after we continue along the trail following downhill around two hours of walking around two hours we reach Thuman.

Day 7: Trek from Thuman to Timure (1762 m)

This day we follow the trail to upward gradually for approximately 2 hours the it heads down through the typical Tamang village having few local houses. Totally walking of around 5 hours we get to Timure village in the evening.

Day 8: Trek from Timure to Briddim (2229 m)

Walking through the rhododendron jungle in the increasing elevation Bridim can be reached which is at 4-5 hours average walking distance from Timure. It is on the lap of of Langtang Himal, where we can visit to monastery as well as we can feel warm hospitality of the local people. Some wild animals such as Himalaya Black Bear, Barking Deer, Thar, Ghoral and Red Panda are also the attraction point.

Day 09: Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi (1467m)

We go forward to North direction from the valley right side of Bhote Kosi river and then come back on the opposite side on our way back to Syabru Besi. The trail follows through the paddy and corn fields having slightly up and down, Syabru Bensi can be reached within 4-5 hours.

Day 10: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu 7 hours

Approximately 7-8 hours driving from Syaprubenshi same way back we will return to Kathmandu , leaving all the panorama scenery on our background.

Return to Kathmandu

Day 09: Return to Kathmandu (1300 m)

To return to Kathmandu by tourist bus which departs 7 o’clock in the morning and takes around 6-7 hours to get to Kathmandu. We have two alternatives. Either we can take 30 minutes flight

Day 10: Reserve day

This is the day for looking around city and also for buying something as per your interest. We will have farewell dinner all together in Kathmandu on this evening.

Day 11: Departure

This day we will come to hotel and take you to airport on your given time for the final departure to home with wishing you a nice journey.
