The Trek begins from Nayapul, which is an hours scenic drive from Pokhara with some fabulous views of Annapurna (South) and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) en route . From Nayapul, a half an hours walk brings us to Birethanti, situated at the confluence of Modi and Bhurung rivers, here the route divides. We take the West trail towards Ghorepani, a trading village situated at an elevation of 2750 m., where there is a tremendous vantage point (Poon hill – 3194 m.) to view both the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himal. The views at sunrise from Poon hill are simply stunning. From Ghorepani, the trail leads East to the hamlet of Tadapani and on towards Chhomrong, from where we commence our journey into the Annapurna Sanctuary and onwards to Annapurna Base Camp. The journey to base camp follows the valley in between the huge ramparts of Himchuli & Machhapuchhre, eventually emerging into an awesome Amphitheater, where a labyrinth of mountains and Annapurna I tower almost vertically above us.
Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu:
Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)
Day 02: City tour
Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m)
Pokhara can be reached in 6-7 hours driving all the way through Prithivi highway by tourist bus or private Jeep from Kathmandu. Or we can take flight of 25 minutes from Kathmandu. During drive to pokhara we can observe attractive landscape, rural village some of local lifestyles.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1070m) and Trek to Ghandruk â€“(1940m)
After driving of two hours from Pokhara we get to the Birethanti, which is the entrance of Annapurna Conservation area and the start point of trek. We follow the local village trail to get to Ghandurung . Now there is also the road under construction. During walk we can see terrace rice field and local village and people and their cultures. Here is this place we can also visit to local museum to get more information about the typical things.
Day 05: Ghandruk to Tolka (1700m)
From Ghorepani the trail steep descend downwards in the beginning for around to get to Modhi river and the it ascends slowly upwards to Landrunug (1565m), a big gurung, magar village. From here our walking becomes easier without up and down till Tolka. The beautiful terrace field and the caravan of trekkers heading to their destination in between from there, can be seen while we are on our way
Day 06: Tolka to Dhampus (1650m)
The trail slowly goes upward in increasing pattern to the top hill Deurali, it is a good place from where we can see the lost horizon very far way in the sky toward south. From Deurali we get to potana viewing the panoramic mountain in the north. After gradual down wards walking we arrive to the beautiful village which is Dampus.
Day 07: Dhampus to Phedi 1130m, same day Drive to Pokhara
Mt . Machhapuchhre and all the mountains of Annapurna range can be seen from Dampus . From here we head down wards steep to Phedi among the big trees. Where we can get our jeep, which is waiting for us on the high way and we come to Pokhara.
Day 08: Visit Pokhara City
Pokhara is a beautiful small city in the bank of Fewa Lake .In the morning we can go up to sarangkot hill to see the panoramic scenery and in daytime we go visit to Davis falls, Mahendra cave and museum and Fewa lake.
Return to Kathmandu
Day 09: Return to Kathmandu (1300 m)
To return to Kathmandu by tourist bus which departs 7 o’clock in the morning and takes around 6-7 hours to get to Kathmandu. We have two alternatives. Either we can take 30 minutes flight
Day 10: Reserve day
This is the day for looking around city and also for buying something as per your interest. We will have farewell dinner all together in Kathmandu on this evening.
Day 11: Departure
This day we will come to hotel and take you to airport on your given time for the final departure to home with wishing you a nice journey.
