Mt. Kailash is situated to the north of the Himalayan barrier in Tibet Tibet.It is 6,740 m high and very famous amoung the Buddhist and Hinduism. It is the perfect mountain with awesome beauty, with 4 great faces. It is the spiritual centre for four great religions: Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, the Jain religion and the pre-Buddhist animistic religion – Bonpo.
In Tibetans it is known as Khang Rimpoche (Precious Jewel of Snow) and they see it as the navel of the world. It is said that a stream from the mountain pours into a nearby lake and from here rivers flow in the four cardinal directions.
Trekking Itinerary Tour days
Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu:
Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)
Day 02: Kathmandu City tour.
Our city guide will take you to some of historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO and also we start the process for Tibet visit visa.
Day 3: Kathmandu city tour
We will visit remaining places around Kathmandu and also Bhaktapur, We will get ready for the trip to Tibet receive all the permits from Chinese embassy here in Kathmandu you will have time for purchasing some necessary thing which you use during the journey
Day 4: Kathmandu to Nyalam (3750m)
We start our journey driving through the 114 km Araniko Highway toward the northern border of Nepal to Tibet which takes around 4 5 hours and we do our immigration formalities there the after we heads to Nyalam after crossing the border.
Day 5: Rest Day at Nyalam (3750m)
This day we just take it as a free day for acclimatizing our body with high altitude environment, which is essential for our health. In day time we can do an optional hiking around the there.
Day 6: Nyalam to Saga (4450m)
We take our drive after fresh breakfast and move forward to saga observing the beautiful land of Tibet passing the Lablung Pass at 5150m, Then crossing impressive Brahmaputra River Saga, second day camp can be reached which is 232 km from Nyalam.
Day 7: Saga to Paryang (4600m)
Driving 230 km through the valleys with the good view of beautiful high mountains glinting southward we go forward to next camp at Paryang by Jeep. On this day innumerable snowy peaks and unique landscape makes our tour picturesque.
Day 8: Paryang to Manasarovar (4558m)
This day again, we start our journey driving onward to Mansarovar, a charming as well as holy lake. During drive we can see the mesmerizing Mt. Kailash, a holy mountain from the highway. We have to pass 277 km distance on this day to reach to Mansarovar which is around 10 hours driving.
Day 9: Visit around Manasarovar (4558m)
On this day, we make an easy exploring around the Lake Manasarovar and Chui Gompa, which will be really an interesting day. As this is religious lake all pilgrims perform Pooja a religious pray for good luck and take religious shower on this lake. On this fabulously beautiful lake fishes and beautiful swans keep swimming, which is another attraction. In surrounding, Mt Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Raksheshi as well as grazing animals can be seen.
Day 10: Drive to Dharchen (4564m)
After hot breakfast, we spend short time at Mansarovar lake and then we start our tour ahead to Dharchen located at the elevation of 4564 meter, A Tibetan Village. It is at the distance of 40 km which is the starting place of going for Mt. Kailash religious circle tour. Here at this place we arrange yaks and our all logistics for Kailash Kora.
Day 11: Drive to Tarbuche and Trek to Dira Puk (4860m)
On this day we drive around 13 kilometer and the start our walking. This is an interesting 5-6 hours walk (15 kilometer) to Dira Puk through an incredible high land observing an spectacular view of holy Mt. Kailash and the attractive colorful high hills around the Kailash Mountain. The natural layout of the area makes us feel like we are somewhere in the heaven.
Day 12: Trek to Zuthal Puk (4760 m) via Dolma La Pass (5200m):
This is second day of Kora and it leads to much higher side of the holy path just below the Mount Kailash. This trek takes us to one of the pass at Drolma La, 5,200 m. And after crossing this pass it descends down to Zuthul Puk through Gauri Kund a small lake. It takes around 6-7 hours walk to get to Zuthul Puk, where we can visit to Milarepa cave.
Day 13: Trek to Dharchen (4564 m) and drive to Hor Tsu (4750 m)
This is the last day our Kailash kora we will trek to Dharchen. In the morning we can make a explore visit to Milarepa cave, Many of the caves contain meditation platforms, selfâ€contained by dry stonewalls which has separated their cooking and entrance areas. Following the trail and after walking of 5- 6 hours Dharchen can be reached and then we drive to Hor Tsu by our jeep.
Day 14: drive to Saga (4450 m)
This is the day of easy tour and we return down by jeep following the same highway and remembering the most impressive moments and scenery. On this part we again have chance to observe the beauty of the same view once again.
Day 15: drive to Nyalam (3750 m)
Driving through same road and keeping all the picturesque landscape on our background we move to Nyalam which takes around 6- 7 hours
Return To Kathmandu
Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu (1300 m)
After breakfast, we head down to Border crossing the Zangmu which takes around 2 hours we again complete our immigration and visa formalities and enter into territory of Nepal, we will have lunch here at this place, there our vehicle will be waiting and we come to Kathmandu through 114 kilometer long Araniko highway.
Day 17: Reserve day
This is the day for looking around city and also for buying something as per your interest. We will have farewell dinner all together in Kathmandu on this evening. This evening we all will have farewell dinner.
This day our representative will come to hotel and take you to airport for final departure on your time with wishing you very happy journey.
