According to a legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley, hence the name Lang Tibetan name for yak, Tang more currently Dhang: means to follow.
There are good opportunity for moderate climbing excursions here, you should allow some extra days for explorations for the extensive glacier system. our return route takes us past the holy lakes of gosainjund, an important place of pilgrimage , and over a high pass that brings us almost to the edge of kathmandu itself . Langtang is one of the most beautiful treks in the Himalaya. Its high alpine valley is inhabited by a Yak herding tribe closely related to Tibetans.

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu
Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)
Day 02: City tour
Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)
Approximately 7-8 hours driving from Kathmandu Syaprubenshi can be reached, which is situated in bank of Trishuli River, where we spend our first night. This day we can see the panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, as well as some peaks of Langtang area.
Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2470m)
We take our breakfast with the rising sun and we start first day trek own our average walking. The path gradual goes up approximately two hours through the jungle and bamboo village can be reached after half an hour walking. Most of trekkers take their lunch and we also stop here. After lunch we step ahead forward following the path with good maintained trails. During this walking period many colorful birds and Bee hives hanging on a cliff can be seen. Totally 5-6 hours walking Lama Hotel can be reached and and we stop here for this day.
Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m)
We start our second day walk to Langtang village from Lama hotel and the trail goes gradual up through a forest of national flower rhododendron, hemlock, oaks and maples and many others catching the glimpses of the highest peak of the valley Langtang Lirung peak. We continue our walk passing through Gumanchok (2800m), Ghora Tabela (2970m). After this village our walk descends to Thangshyap (3140m) and little more ascend up to Langtang village, which can be reached after 5 hours walking.
Day 06: Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)
It’s and interesting trek of around 4 hours, which climbs gradually up to the local village Sindum as well as Yamphu (3640m). After crossing the laja khola the trekking trail climbs again main viewpoint, from where Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall can be seen. From here the trail goes down ward to Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 07: Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa (3870 m)
This day we take a rest and visit around the Kyanjing Gompa to observe the local. We study about the culture and become more familiar with the local people as well as explore around.
Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel (2340m)
This day we will return to Lama hotel, after visiting the Kyanjing area. This day we have easy walk toward downhill crossing through the rhododendron forest, which take around 8 hours walking and we stop here for this day and stay at hotel.
Day 09: Trek to Thulo Syabru (1,900m)
We start our We start our walking on our average through forest which is covered with bamboo & rhododendron and bushes, it is the good day for you to know more about flora around here and you also have chance to see wild life. It easy downhill walk to the river bank and then steeply ascend up for few hours. This day we have to walk around 4-5 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Sing Gompa (3584m)
We start in the morning after having breakfast and following the steep climb up which goes up to Thursangang, then after we enter into the jungle of hemlock and oak and some other local plants. Passing and old stupa situated at the top of Phoprang hill we go forward to Shing Gompa. It takes around 5 hours in total.
Day 11: Trek to Gosaikunda: (4381m)
This day we walk ahead to the Goshainkund, which is one of the major attraction points of this Langtang national park. The trail goes Steep up from Sing Gompa crossing the ridges and forests, we reach to Cholang Pati, from here we still keep continue walking to our destination Gosaikunda.
Day 12: Trek to Ghopte (3430m)
Observing the panoramic view around, we follow the leading trail to Tharepati passing some small lakes located around Goshainkunda Lake. The trail descends down to the Phedi and then a small river. After crossing this river our walk goes ahead to the village Ghopte, which passes besides Dhupi Chaur. Finally this up and down trail takes us to our camp Ghopte after crossing Laure Binayak pass which takes walking of 6 -7 hours.
Day 13: Trek to Melamchigaon (2530m)
This day we will have short day walk which goes steep downward through mixed fir and rhododendron forest where we also can observe varieties of colorful birds. Observing the nature and walking through Thadepati Pass in the evening we can reach Melamchigaon.
Day 14: Trek to Tarke Ghyang (2600m)
The trail descends steeply to the valley floor, where you can have a well earned dip in the crystal- clear river before completing the short and mild ascent up the other side of the valley. Tarkegyang boasts an 18th century Gompa with huge brass prayer wheel.
Day 15: Trek to Sermathang (2590m)
An easy flat walk to Shermathang makes our day’s journey memorable. This is a Sherpa village and they have very warm hospitability and they become happy to introduce themselves that they are different from the Sherpa of Everest region. During walking the walk offers us good views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gosainkunda and Rolwaling.
Day 16: Trek to Melachi bazaar (870m)
The trail does up and down to the till Melamchi bazaar. This day we pass through the village area and the highlighted settlements of the route are Kakani (1996 m), Pokhari Bhanjyang (1565m) and Tallathok (1500 m). This isa small town situated in the bank of Indrawati river At this place another river Melamchi khola also joins with this Indrawati River and heads forward together.
Return To Kathmandu
Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu (1300m)
We take a bus and drive through the road which goes parallel with the river Indrawati which heads ahead and joins with Araniko highway at Zero kilometer after 2 hours driving and then we follow the Araniko high way to Kathmandu which takes totally around 5 hours.
Day 18: Reserve day
This day is the reserve day for visiting the remaining places around Kathmandu valley and also for shopping. This evening we all will have farewell dinner.
Day 19: Departure
This day our representative will come to hotel and take you to airport for final departure on your time with wishing you very happy journey.
