The Helambu trail is the best for every body because this one is the more panoramic with some things for every one. .who like mountains views they get from this trail and who want to enjoy panoramic with cultural experience they get real adventure with this Trek.

This trek enables you to explore through the Langtang National Park home of the Tibetan looking people the Tamangs. We begin our journey by drive towards the North West of Kathmandu to a mountain village of Dhunche a major village of Langtang area.

Program Itineary

Tour days

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu

Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)

Day 02: City tour

Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.

Trek days

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Approximately 7-8 hours driving from Kathmandu Syaprubenshi can be reached, which is situated in bank of Trishuli River, where we spend our first night. This day we can see the panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, as well as some peaks of Langtang area.

Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2470m)

We take our breakfast with the rising sun and we start first day trek own our average walking. The path gradual goes up approximately two hours through the jungle and bamboo village can be reached after half an hour walking. Most of trekkers take their lunch and we also stop here. After lunch we step ahead forward following the path with good maintained trails. During this walking period many colorful birds and Bee hives hanging on a cliff can be seen. Totally 5-6 hours walking Lama Hotel can be reached and we stop here for this day.

Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m)

We start our second day walk to Langtang village from Lama Hotel and the trail goes gradual up through a forest of national flower rhododendron, hemlock, oaks and maples and many others catching the glimpses of the highest peak of the valley Langtang Lirung peak. We continue our walk passing through Gumanchok (2800m), Ghora Tabela (2970m). After this village our walk descends to Thangshyap (3140m) and little more ascend up to Langtang village, which can be reached after 5 hours walking.

Day 06:Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

It’s an interesting trek of around 4 hours, which climbs gradually up to the local village Sindum as well as Yamphu (3640m). After crossing the laja Khola the trekking trail climbs again main viewpoint, from where Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall can be seen. From here the trail goes down ward to Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 07: Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa (3870 m)

This day we take a rest and visit around the Kyanjing Gompa to observe the local. We study about the culture and become more familiar with the local people as well as explore around.

Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel (2340m)

This day we will return to Lama Hotel, after visiting the Kyanjing area. This day we have easy walk toward downhill crossing through the rhododendron forest, which take around 8 hours walking and we stop here for this day and stay at hotel.

Day 09: Trek to Thulo Syabru (1,900m)

We start our We start our walking on our average through forest which is covered with bamboo & rhododendron and bushes, it is the good day for you to know more about flora around here and you also have chance to see wild life. It easy downhill walks to the river bank and then steeply ascends up for few hours. This day we have to walk around 4-5 hours.

Day 10: Trek to Sing Gompa (3584m)

We start in the morning after having breakfast and following the steep climb up which goes up to Thursangang, then after we enter into the jungle of hemlock and oak and some other local plants. Passing and old stupa situated at the top of Phoprang hill we go forward to Shing Gompa. It takes around 5 hours in total.

Day 11: Trek to Gosaikunda: (4381m)

This day we walk ahead to the Goshainkund, which is one of the major attraction points of this Langtang national park. The trail goes Steep up from Sing Gompa crossing the ridges and forests, we reach to Cholang Pati, from here we still keep continue walking to our destination Gosaikunda.

Day 12: Trek to Tharepati (3597m)

Observing the panoramic view around we follow the leading trail to Tharepati passing some small lakes located around Goshainkunda lake. The trail descends down to the Phedi and then a small river. After crossing this river our walk goes ahead to the village Tharepathi which passes besides Dhupi Chaur. Finally this up and down trail takes us to our camp Tharepati after crossing Laure Binayak pass which takes walking of 8-9 hours.

Day 13: Trek to Kutumsang (2470m)

This day we start walk to Tharepati following the trail which is more downhill and just a small ridge to cross on our way this is 5-6 hours walk with average walking observing the naturally attractive scenery we step forward to Kutumsang, which is an interesting typically old-fashioned village of Helambu reach of Sherpa culture and warm hospitability.

Day 14: Trek to Chiso Pani (2215m)

From Kutumsang we move to our next destination to Chisopani which means cold water in Nepalese language. Leaving the Kutumsang village on behind, we step ahead observing the breathtaking landscapes and panoramic Himalaya range, which some time plays hide and search with the clouds in the sky. After 5-6 hours trek and small town Chisopani can be reached.

Day 15: Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu (1300meters).

From Chisapani we follow the trail which goes little up around half hour and the goes totally downward through small villages and forest of Shivapuri national park. This day fantastic view can be seen while descending to the road through oak and rhododendron forests. And we follow the water pine of Kathmandu on our Journey. After 4 hours walking we reach Sundarijal from where we drive to Kathmandu for around 30 minutes.

Tour days

Day 16: Reserve day in Kathmandu

This is the day for looking around city and also for buying something as per your interest. We will have farewell dinner all together in Kathmandu on this evening.

Day 17: Departure

This day we will come to hotel and take you to airport on your given time for the final departure to home with wishing you a nice journey.
