Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trek is the most popular trekking route for Sherpa culture in Nepal. The Helambu valley lies to the north of Kathmandu Valley. The Helambu valley lies to the north of Kathmandu and offers a firsthand experience of Sherpa culture. The Sherpa village of Tarke Gyang, the most popular destination in Helambu, is a fascinating enclave of farmers and yak herders.
The highlights of the Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu trek are numerous, however. The main attractions of this trek are the grand forests of rhododendrons and bamboo, splendid waterfalls flowing over massive boulders, a chance to bathe in relaxing hot springs, magnificent views of the snow capped giant Langtang Lirung (7,200m/23,622ft) and visiting the holy lakes of Gosainkunda among others.
Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu
Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)
Day 02: City tour
Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO. In the evening you will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking and daily routine / schedule of trekking will be given to you by our tour guide every day.
Day 03: Drive to Dhunche (1960m)
Approximately 6-7 hours driving from Kathmandu Dhunche can be reached, which is a small town, where post office, telephone, hospital service are available. It is a Tamang village situated in the slope area over the Trishuli River, where we spend our first night. This day we can see the panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, as well as some peaks of Langtang area.
Day 04: Trek to Sing Gompa (3330m)
We start our We start our walking following the trail which ascends up to Deurali from where fantastic view can be seen after this place we go forward following the local villages Dimsa 3007 we go to Sing Gompa which is also known as Chandanbari. it is the good day for you to know more about flora around here and you also have chance to see wild life. This day we have to walk around 4-5 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Gosaikunda (4381m)
This day we walk ahead to the Goshainkund, which is one of the major attraction points of this Langtang national park. The trail goes Steep up from Sing Gompa crossing the ridges and forests, we reach to Cholang Pati, from here we still keep continue walking to our destination Gosaikunda.
Day 06: Trek to Ghopte (3430m)
Observing the panoramic view around, we follow the leading trail to Tharepati passing some small lakes located around Goshainkunda Lake. The trail descends down to the Phedi and then a small river. After crossing this river our walk goes ahead to the village Ghopte, which passes besides Dhupi Chaur. Finally this up and down trail takes us to our camp Ghopte after crossing Laure Binayak pass which takes walking of 6 -7 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Melamchigaon (2530m)
This day we will have short day walk which goes steep downward through mixed fir and rhododendron forest where we also can observe varieties of colorful birds. Observing the nature and walking through Thadepati Pass in the evening we can reach Melamchigaon.
Day 08: Trek to Tarke Ghyang (2600m)
The trail descends steeply to the valley floor, where you can have a well earned dip in the crystal- clear river before completing the short and mild ascent up the other side of the valley. Tarkegyang boasts an 18th century Gompa with huge brass prayer wheel.
Day 09: Trek to Sermathang (2590m)
An easy flat walk to Shermathang makes our day’s journey memorable. This is a Sherpa village and they have very warm hospitability and they become happy to introduce themselves that they are different from the Sherpa of Everest region. During walking the walk offers us good views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gosainkunda and Rolwaling.
Day 10: Trek to Melachi bazaar (870m)
The trail does up and down to the till Melamchi bazaar. This day we pass through the village area and the highlighted settlements of the route are Kakani (1996 m), Pokhari Bhanjyang (1565m) and Tallathok (1500 m). This isa small town situated in the bank of Indrawati river At this place another river Melamchi Khola ( river ) also joins with this Indrawati River and heads forward together.
Return to Kathmandu
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu (1300m)
We take a bus and drive through the road which goes parallel with the river Indrawati which heads ahead and joins with Araniko highway at Zero kilometer after 2 hours driving and then we follow the Araniko high way to Kathmandu which takes totally around 5 hours.
Day 12: Reserve day
This day is the reserve day for visiting the remaining places around Kathmandu valley and also for shopping. This evening we all will have farewell dinner.
Day 13: Departure
This day our representative will come to hotel and take you to airport for final departure on your time with wishing you very happy journey.
