The Everest Base Camp trek, a very well known mountain trek, starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling bazaar that is a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.
Mount Everest Base Camp has been a popular destination for trekkers since the very first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1953.
Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu:
Our company representative will pick up you from international airport and you will be transferred to hotel in Kathmandu (1300 meter)
Day 02: City tour
Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO.
Day 03: Briefing and Preparations for trekking.
You will be given general information about trekking regarding Do and Dons during trekking, and daily routine / schedule will be given to you by our tour guide every day evening.
Day 04: Fly to Lukla and commence trek to Phakding (2,620m/8,594ft)
This day, you will fly to (Lukla 2840 m) with our guide. It’s the gateway of Mt. Everest, The trek begins from here and the group will step ahead toward Phakding (2610 meter) a Sherpa village following the base camp trail.
Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,420m/11,218ft)
The trek of second day will start after breakfast and the group will have lunch on the way. On this day the group will enter into Sagarmatha National Park. After 6-7 hours walking you will reach at Namche which is the world famous rural market having many facilities.
Day 06: Acclimatization/exploration/rest day at Namche Bazaar
As it is above 3000 meters from sea level in alpine environment, people take rest for acclimatization which helps to fit us with high altitude environment.
Day 07: Trek to Thame, (3,800m/12,464ft)
This place is on 4-5 hours walking distance from Namche which is also the home village of Worlds’ mountain hero Mr. Appa Sherpa. Here you will visit to Stupa and old Buddhist monastery.
Day 08: Trek to Khumjung, a typical Sherpa village (3,790m/12,431ft)
Khumjung is the village, located above Namche which can be reached after 4-5 hours easy walking from Thame, from where you can observe unique Sherpa culture and Himalayan life style as well as wild life Himalayan Thar and impearl Pheasant ,
Day 09: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft)
This place is famous because of the very old Buddhist monastery and Buddhist religious festivals such as Mani Rimdu , Dhumji etc. it is also the place where we can see Muskdeer.
Day 10: Trek to Dingboche (4,360m/14,301ft)
On this day we will walk a head passing the jungle and some village , walking from the left of one separate Mountain Amadablam and will reach over treeline where we can not find trees except very small pine bushes.
Day 11: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m/16,203ft)
As much as we walk more up toward Mountain, the view of the scenery will be more stunning, even its little difficult at walking. It takes around 6- 7 hours to reach Labuche where there is small village having few lodges surrounded by high Himalaya.
Day 12: Trek to Gorak Shep, the gateway to Everest summit
It is in distance of 4 hours walking through rocky trail .here around We can see only snow ice and glaciers and mountains instead of trees. (5,147m/16,882ft)
Day 13: Trek to Kala Pattar (5,550m/18,204ft)
This Kala pathar is a hill having higher elevation than Everest base camp, which is slope upwards from Ghorakhshep and takes almost four hours to be at the top and 2 hours to get back to Gorakhshep, which is the best spot to view the summit of Mt. Everest World highest point.
Day 14: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365m/17,597ft)
This place can be reached after 3 hours walking through the rocky trail having slight up and down and as well as ice blocks and tiny ice lakes , where Everest expedition group set their base camps for their Mt. Everest climbing project. After visiting base camp we will return to Gorakhshep.
Day 16: Trek to Pheriche
On This day you have to walk back same way back Labuche and then still down. The place Pheriche in the village situated next to Dingboche on the river bank. You have to walk around 6-7 hours te get here at this place.
Day 17: Trek to Namche:
It takes almost 7 hours of walking to get back to Namche which is the same trail which had been already walked , while going up.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla
This is the last day of walking after 3 hours of walking you will exit from the national park and further 3 hours of walking you will finally get to Lukla.
Return to Kathmandu
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu:
This morning the guide will take you back to Kathmandu by flight and you will be checked in into hotel and will have rest and refreshment.
Day 20: reserve day:
This day is the reserve day for visiting the remaining places around Kathmandu valley and also for shopping. This evening we all will have farewell dinner.
Day 21: Departure:
This day our representative will come to hotel and take you to airport for final departure on your time with wishing you very happy journey.
