Chulu Far East Peak

Chulu far  East ( 6119 m ) is beautiful Peak at Annapurna Conservation area which is situated at Manang district above it dry land as a head of the valley. It was first climbed by group of German in1955 following it’s north-east ridge. The caravan route to its base camp is via Bensi sahar, the headquater of Lamjung District then Bahundanda, Dharapani, Pisang, Chame  yakkharka and then base camp, It’s base camp is at the elevation 4700 m, now we can also get to manang by vehical directly from Bensisahar.

The climbing route of this peak is not technically difficult and we should have solid snow climbing techniques and of course should have good physical condition. After base camp we set next camp at 5300 meter which is high camp and then we ascend up to summit through the rocky and icy as well steep ridge of this peak with the support of the fix rope. When we reach at the beautiful top of this peak we can have magnificent view of Manaslu, Pisang peak, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Chulu west. While we walk towards tits base camp we can observe the various landscape, flora and fauna as well as the local peoples living style. Gurung and magar are the major local habitants in this region in the upper part the typical local tribe thakali can be found which is in gurung tribe group.
